Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette Peters (born Bernadette lazzara on February 28, 1948) was an American performer and actress as well as a writer of children's books who hails from Ozone Park Queens New York . Her career spans more than five decades and covers the stage, television, solo concerts, and recording. She's one of Broadway's most acclaimed artists. The actress was nominated in seven Tony Awards (winning two) and also winning the award of eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards went to four Broadway Cast Albums where she starred. Peters started her career on stage when she was a child, and then when she was a teenager, in the 1960s. Later in the 70s, she was acting in films as well as on television. For her early stage work as well for her television appearances, such as The Carol Burnett Show The Muppet Show as well as Annie. In the 1980s she returned to the stage which made her one of the most well-known Broadway performers over the following three years. She has released several singles along with several casts albums, and regularly performs as a solo act in concert. Peters is also a film and TV actor and has been awarded once and nominated in three Emmy Awards.
